Heathfield Green Space will be submitting a consultation response to the Planning For The Future White Paper
To aid us and you we have broken the White Paper down into its various components on separate pages, we intend to keep our response to each Proposal and Question public and live as we go through them in addition we have invited anyone with a view to comment and these comment will accompany our submission.
MG - Comments
Within the White Paper there are several areas of concern, the White Paper says it wants more public involvement. However there seems to be several points in the White Paper where involvement is being eroded.
It seems that Central Government wants to take more control away from early stage input at all levels and impose what on the surface seem like un- achievable targets with little regards for quality of life for residents.
No provision for compulsory Neighbourhood Plans, No concrete provision to get the 1 million plus dwellings built that have planning permission.
An example of this under the calculation on housing need London and The Southeast will take the Lion's share of the dwellings bringing more homes to already most densely populated part of the England 32.23% reside in London and The Southeast. The new calculation suggests that 45.69% of all new houses will be built in the same area approximately 155k per year.
We have completed Pillars One and Two in draft and they will be subject to further editing (Proposals 1 - 10 and Question 1 - 14) as other sections are completed we will add the information. (Proposals 11 - 18 and Questions 15 - 20)
